About Baitcraft

Baitcraft is owned by Mark McKenna and has been trading for 6 years, Mark has been a successful 'hardcore' carp angler for well over 20 years having caught 13 UK forties from difficult big fish venues to 47lb 12oz often on limited time in all seasons. That said Mark is not a 'numbers man' he sets his own goals, catches on his own terms and is currently a member of the 'Looney' rota on Savay Lake where the bulk of the fieldtesting of all Baitcraft products is carried out. Mark has developed these professionally made boilies and carp baits over a number of years through a desire to make an entirely new level of quality and effectiveness available to the every day carp angler. Mark's current goal is a genuine UK 50 caught the hard way with out the use of a boat of any description from a tough water, there are a couple that could do it in Savay if it doesn't happen it won't be through lack of effort!

Mark is a self confessed 'opinionated' writer who in his writing in all of the major carp titles has simplified the science of bait formulation for readers - when a magazine wants to know the truth about any aspect of bait they ask Mark what he thinks and they get it 'warts and all'. Mark's understanding and working knowledge of the science of carp bait is unparalleled in the industry.

The exhaustive research and testing carried out during development have given rise to a range of all season products that are unequalled in carp angling today, nobody does carp bait better than Baitcraft. The results in all four seasons speak for themselves because results are what Baitcraft pursue relentlessly with every product that carries our name. We don't follow trends, jump on 'bandwagons' and have no time for bullshit, everything we do is setting a new standard for others to follow and unique to Baitcraft, even the flavours we use are our own formulations designed to catch carp as opposed to the gullible in the carp angling fraternity. We are a bait company not a marketing machine and in a league all of our own in terms of the effectiveness of our products.

Baitcraft have striven tirelessly to keep overheads down, keep manufacturing ruthlessly efficient and of sufficiently high volume to be able to deliver products of unmatchable quality and effectiveness at a price customers can afford in a reasonable time frame even during peak periods. All manufacturing is carried out in house at Baitcraft not farmed out to 'time is money' contractors who cut every corner in the book to complete each tonne before you could get to your local McDonalds and back. We only make the bait we sell to customers at Baitcraft there's no 'one for us, one for field testers and one for the poor mugs that pay for it' syndrome, when we go fishing it's with the same bait you buy from us, you're not just getting bait from us your getting our passion for delivering the ultimate in high performance, high quality, fresh freezer bait and associated products, enabling you to catch as much as possible in the period of time you get to pursue your passion.

We are also passionate about the food value of our products and will never put profit before fish health - as a food source our baits are the very best available and always will be, there is unequivocal evidence to support the fishes recognition of the food value of good 'food source' bait, many lay claim to it but most just 'stick it on the bag' in attempt to relieve you of your money.
