Hi Mark.
I got it mate... I only bloody well got it. The Mother at 42lb 5oz. I felt close to getting it and the bait was doing the business no end but as with most dreams it still just felt out of reach some how!
The feeling's fantastic, I'm still buzzing... I could get addicted to this.
Bizarrely this was my 13th take on the pit this year and on Friday 13th too. Lucky for me eh?!!!
A Super K pop up doing the trick with a little yellow Snowball on top. Fished in 28ft of water with a kilo of boilie and 1.5 kilo of pellet spodded around the area.

Just had to say thanks Mark for some great bait
I have been using Richworth stuff for some time now and it has been good, but it seems to have lost its edge.
A friend of mine who joined recently was using T1s and was doing rather well. He told me about the super K and I thought I might give it a go. As the carp at our lake had never seen this bait before I was a bit worried, but it caught right from the off. I have now been top rod for the last 3 sessions and am ordering another 10K
The only problem is that I am not getting much sleep when fishing now |

hey up Mr McKenna,,
I just got back from a weekend session on my local pit & what a result.
I started off down the bottom end of the lake where i saw a few biggies including the big un. I was a bit gutted after losing my first chance, but i had the biggest grin in the world three hours later after landing a new P.B of 45-08.
After a quick drive up to the shop for a few celebratory beers & a Macy Dee i moved up to the opposite end of the lake where i seen a few fish knocking about round the right hand margin. I flicked a couple of rods on the spot, a few pouches of super K over the top of them & started slacking my lines, but the left hand rod wouldn't slacken.
I couldn't believe it m8, within a minute of casting out i had a take. A few minutes later & iv got an old warrior of 31-12 in my net.
After a few beers & a quiet nights fishing, i got woken early morning by a very hard fighting 32-08 scaley mirror, not easy with a bit of a bad head , but that was soon cured.
After sorting that fish out, i see a fish lump out over the far reed margin,i cast over a hook-bait & a few more pouches of K over the top & half hour later a 25-08 mirror...
All fish caught on the Super K
Happy days Mr mac....
A session i wont forget for a while.
Keep rolling the bait m8.
